All this research is fascinating, and always makes me think two things:

  1. What’s the “long game” (quite literally) here? How much further can we push the human lifespan? There’s a line of thought that human beings simply can’t be extended, say, 500 years; but 120 “good years” might be enough.
  2. All these treatments, etc. are inevitably going to be more available for those at the higher end of the income scale — potentially leading to a future where the rich live many, many decades longer than the poor. Sounds pretty dystopian…
